Huge progress on the house these last six weeks. The foundations are in and the walls are going up. The staff quarters are now up to roof height and the main house just about up to my waist. The rain is finally here but we were lucky to have finished the foundations and ground floor slab before it started in earnest. The contractors seem quite chuffed to have the rain now as it helps really cure the cement by slowing down the drying process apparently! The garden is also going really well, the lawn is loving the rain and the final flower beds of the main garden are getting planted up. We were so lucky to have be able to bring down so many plants from Kericho which has saved us having to buy a whole garden's worth of plants.
